I Don’t Think Sister Wives Kody Brown Will Understand He’s The Problem Until Robyn Leaves

Sister Wives star Kody Brown has a ton of issues he refuses to address, and I don’t think he’ll understand he’s the problem with his relationships until his remaining wife Robyn Brown leaves. Having dealt with some tough blows in the last several years, Kody’s marriages have been deteriorating around him. Throughout the last few seasons of Sister Wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown have left Kody and plural marriage behind. While Robyn hasn’t left Kody, there seem to be major issues in the foundation of their delicate relationship according to the shocking Sister Wives season 19 trailer.

Kody’s relationship with Robyn may not be strong at the moment, but his marriages to his other wives were even weaker before they ended. Kody’s relationship with Meri, his longest-standing wife, had been more of an agreement than a marriage for the last decade, while his marriage to Janelle crumbled because of an intense fight that never got resolved. Kody’s emotions have been on high alert since Sister Wives season 17, when Christine left the plural family, but he may never be able to own up to his own emotional and psychological issues until he’s fully separated from Robyn.

Kody’s Marriages Crumbling Has Made Him Angry

Though Kody was aware that there were issues in his marriages prior to Christine making the difficult decision to leave their marriage, and subsequently the entire plural family, his entire world was rocked when she moved away from Arizona. Kody quickly found himself rattled at the idea that one of his marriages could simply collapse, having ignored the signs that his wife had been unhappy for years. While the Sister Wives patriarch stewed in his anger, it became clear that he wouldn’t be able to separate his other relationships from the sting of betrayal he felt from Christine’s departure.

Kody’s heavy emotions after his separation from Christine were transplanted onto the other relationships he had with his other wives. While he was closest with Robyn, Kody’s negative behaviors also found themselves cropping up in his relationships with Janelle and Meri. He couldn’t handle the betrayal from Christine, but rather than understanding that he could do better in his other relationships, Kody got angry and stayed that way.

Kody & Robyn’s Marriage Is Struggling Tremendously

With Kody’s other marriages crumbling, his relationship with Robyn was something he felt would be a given for the rest of his life. Although Kody and Robyn have had issues in the past, they’ve typically been able to move forward with ease. Now that Kody’s emotions have been so erratic, however, the couple appears to be struggling to stay together. Throughout the series Sister Wives season 19 trailer, Kody is shown nearly breaking down several times, and Robyn isn’t sure she wants to pick up the pieces of her failing marriage, even with her husband terrified he’ll end up alone.

Robyn Leaving Could Push Kody To Self-Reflect

I believe Kody won’t be able to see the scope of his issues until he is truly alone, without even Robyn to help him cope. Though this may be harsh, when Kody has somebody who he is able to rationalize his problems with, he refuses to see that he could be part of the issue. If Robyn left Kody, he would have no choice but to look inward and genuinely try to understand his role in all of his problems. The Sister Wives star may finally find himself healing, but only if he finds himself dealing with more pain first.
