Days of Our Lives Monday Recap, October 14: Sarah’s Staircase Tumble – Steve Tricks Mark for Evidence
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 14, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) refused to listen to Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) lingering suspicions over the phone. Instead, Chad played up his imminent marriage to “Abigail DiMera” (AnnaLynne McCord) and hoped she was right about it helping with her memories.
Near the café in Paris, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) overheard “Abigail” talking about her mom on the phone.
After “Abigail” disconnected from Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson), she covered with Holly by acting like she was talking to JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) about getting Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) to accept her.
Holly got updates on the wedding and “Abigail’s” hope that it’d jog her memories, so she tagged along to help her find a dress to wear.
Later, “Abigail” took Holly back to the apartment, so Chad pushed her to stay there instead of at a hotel.
It was decided that Holly would serve as a witness and be “Abigail’s” maid of honor.
Back in Salem on Monday’s Days episode, Steve brought some new samples to Mark and claimed they were for “Abigail” and Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher).
Since there were still some naysayers when it came to the initial DNA results, Steve pushed for another test to offer peace of mind.
Mark agreed to put a rush on the second set of results and ultimately confirmed that Thomas was a match for “Abigail.”
That’s how Steve knew Mark was lying since he secretly handed over his own DNA sample along with Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans)!
Although Steve expressed his gratitude to Mark to avoid tipping him off, he knew his suspicions about “Abby” being an imposter were right.
At the Salem PD, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) visited Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and presented his theory about Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) being the real hit-and-run driver.
Brady confessed that Fiona was drinking that night too, but he was skeptical of Eric’s theory at first.
However, Brady eventually experienced a memory flood and realized Eric was right – that he was innocent and Fiona was to blame!
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) told Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) about Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) lying to the cops about remembering Brady behind the wheel.
Xander admitted Sarah did that to save Brady from his revenge, but now she was stuck since EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) would charge her with perjury if she recanted.
That was a problem since Brady had to walk free before Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) would agree to hand over the paralysis cure.
Maggie was frustrated over Xander often being his own worst enemy, but she decided she’d speak with Kristen herself and beg her to surrender the serum.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s Days show, Fiona tried to deny Sarah’s accusations about the accident.
Sarah insisted Fiona ran her down, but Sarah acted like Eric was putting ideas in her head.
When Sarah threatened to call Xander, Fiona grabbed the phone and tried a new tactic.
After Fiona tearfully insisted she didn’t mean to hit Sarah, she suggested that she only left the scene because she heard Xander nearby and knew he’d take care of her.
Fiona said she never meant for Brady to go down for this and acted like the whole thing spiraled out of control.
Sarah didn’t care about Fiona’s excuses and resolved to tell the truth – even if it meant perjury charges.
Once Fiona said she couldn’t let Sarah do that, she tried to drag Sarah’s wheelchair toward the stairs to stage an awful accident.
Fiona thought she could permanently silence Sarah, but Xander showed up and stopped his mother just in time!
Our DOOL predictions hint that Xander will make sure justice is served soon, so don’t miss all the mother-son drama!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Fiona will have to suffer the consequences, so stay tuned for the bad news she’ll have to face.
